Job Summary: Offsite Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Offsite Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) I is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for supporting patient care by assisting in the planning and implementation of care interventions. The LPN promotes high-quality, efficient, and safe patient care while ensuring smooth patient flow. Key responsibilities include providing personal assistance and medical attention, explaining treatment procedures, administering medications and basic treatments, collecting specimens, and maintaining medical records.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Essential Duties:
· Prepare and escort patients for exams and procedures.
· Explain treatments, medications, and physician instructions to patients.
· Administer medications and perform IV therapy as needed.
· Provide basic patient care, including wound dressing and catheterization.
· Collect and process specimens accurately.
· Clean and prepare treatment rooms.
· Assemble and use medical equipment as required.
· Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
· Communicate delays effectively.
· Accurately enter patient information into electronic medical records.
· Manage the physician's work environment.
· Provide clerical support, including appointment scheduling and obtaining pre-authorizations.
· Manage medical inventory and supply ordering.
· Work under the supervision of a physician or Registered Nurse.
· Perform additional related duties as needed.
