Job Overview
The Expeditor has the critical responsibility to ensure the expo line is perfect at all times. The expeditor plays a key role in maintaining smooth operations between the back of house & the front. You are responsible for managing the expo station through proper station setup procedures as well as receiving & communicating guest orders, preparing & plating menu items to meet our quality standards, ensuring they are delivered to guests on a timely basis, & maintaining a clean & organized workstation.
Duties
- Know and follow all JGP policies & procedures
- Primary responsibility is to quality check all food is up to our standards, ensure it is made properly to the guest request & is properly plated or packaged
- Monitor cook times & clearly communicate orders need to proper station
- Properly garnish and clean any dishes according to company standards
- Assemble & complete orders according to pivot point order
- Coordinate preparation & delivery of varied course
- Communicate with runners when orders are ready for delivery
- Notify staff of late or priority tickets
- Manage & organize all take out & delivery orders from start to finish
- Follow food storage standard procedures
- Keep expo line clean, organized & fully stocked
Requirements
- Prior restaurant experience required
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and have strong ability to multitask
- Must have a great personality, desire to serve guest, and enjoying working as part of a team
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per JGP standards
- Must follow safety procedures closely
- Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekends
