College Boulevard Vision Care is a husband-and-wife-owned private optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Optometric Technician to join our team! This position works closely alongside our doctors to provide outstanding patient care through clinical testing, patient education, and maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the day.
No prior optometry experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about helping others. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining valuable experience in healthcare while working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional experience from arrival through checkout.
- Obtain patient medical and vision histories before the doctor's examination.
- Perform preliminary testing, including:
- Autorefraction
- Lensometry
- Retinal imaging
- Visual field (FDT) testing
- Other diagnostic testing as needed
- Prepare patients for the doctor's examination and communicate findings effectively.
- Assist our doctors in providing efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining the daily schedule.
- Educate patients on recommended treatments, products, and follow-up care.
- Schedule referrals with ophthalmologists or specialty providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records while following HIPAA guidelines.
- Answer patient phone calls and assist with questions or schedule appointments as appropriate.
- Help maintain clean, organized exam rooms and clinical equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

- Comfortable working with computers and learning new software
- Previous medical, optometric, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual.
