Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HVAC Spiral Duct Production Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting spiral duct components used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production through precise machining, cutting, and assembly processes. Responsibilities
Operate and monitor the spiral duct-forming machine.
Set up the machine according to required duct sizes and specifications.
Load sheet-metal coils and other materials safely.
Fabricate spiral ductwork according to shop drawings and work orders.
Measure, cut, and inspect finished ductwork for accuracy and quality.
Adjust machine settings to maintain proper seams and dimensions.
Identify and report equipment or product defects.
Perform routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
Track materials used and completed production quantities.
Label, organize, and prepare finished ductwork for delivery.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized fabrication area.
Assist with fittings, elbows, connectors, and other sheet-metal fabrication as needed.
Coordinate with supervisors and installation crews to meet production schedules.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments involving sheet metal work and duct production.
- Hands-on knowledge of the equipment is required. Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in blueprint reading, GD&T standards, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and other fabrication tools effectively.
- Experience operating forklifts or cranes is preferred but not mandatory; certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures using precision measuring instruments to ensure product standards are met consistently.
