Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes an environment of Fun, Service, Integrity and Respect in the Slots Department
- Manages and at times directs the daily slot operation and all slot team members during an assigned shift ensuring all activities and job duties are performed according to established Company and departmental policies, procedures and goals and takes corrective action when necessary
- Ensures compliance with Pennsylvania Gaming requirements and pertinent state gaming laws
- Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix
- Immediately informs the Shift Manager Slots or Sr Director of Gaming of any Rivers Casino Pittsburgh policy or gaming related irregularities and investigates them as directed
- Provides constructive input and written documentation to team members regarding their work performance, including preparing and presenting performance appraisals
- Monitors Inspired Service observations to ensure completeness and accuracy and completes them when necessary
- Ensures the administration of accurate procedures and policies involving all operating activities
- Verifies jackpots over $24,999.99
- Verifies Attendant variances
- Authorized second verifier as a check signer
- Resolves guest disputes or elevates them when necessary
- Consistently trains and develops Team Members to improve their skill set and provide continues improvement in guest service
- Maintains constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered by Rivers Casino Pittsburgh and informs guests
- Immediately communicates if a slot guest is playing in an unethical or irregular manner or if a slot team member is working in an unethical manner
- Maintains control logs of keys and radios, ensuring their security on property
- Maintains Team Member files, payroll, and other assigned record keeping
- Maintains a constant awareness of regulatory requirements
- Manages daily labor to business volumes
- Assists in the requested slot marketing efforts as requested
- Must maintain strict confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, team member of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, or a guest of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh
- Develops business relationships with repeat guests and other business development opportunities
- Assists in managing the strategic direction of the department and property goals
- Assists in audits as directed
- Ensures Team Members have the proper tools to complete their job duties
- Ensures the flow of timely communication across all levels of the department
- Work with other department leaders as necessary to resolve operational matters
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two years Slot supervisory experience required
- Ability to positively and effectively coach, mentor and develop Team Members
- Strong leadership skills and abilities
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in written format with all levels of Team Members and guests
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff or customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to produce complete and detailed incident reports
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust
- Ability to maintain a thorough knowledge of Company and departmental policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state gaming laws
- Ability to be a TEAM player
- Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
