Job Title: Precision CNC Grinder / Manual Machinist

Compensation: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Overtime available on Saturdays
Job Summary:
Our client in Maple Shade, NJ is seeking two Precision CNC Grinders / Manual Machinists to join their team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity paying $27.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience. This hands-on machining role is ideal for individuals who enjoy precision craftsmanship, problem-solving, and producing high-quality components. Our Client is considering both experienced machinists and senior-level professionals with advanced precision grinding expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Precision Grinding: Perform OD grinding, ID grinding, honing, and other precision grinding operations to customer specifications.
- Machining Operations: Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, drills, and honing equipment.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Process Improvement: Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Documentation: Complete production records, inspection reports, and quality control documentation accurately.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet customer requirements and production goals.
- Mentorship: Assist with training and mentoring junior machinists as experience level allows.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of machining experience; senior-level candidates with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, honing equipment, and/or CNC machinery.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Experience with OD grinding and/or ID grinding; advanced grinding experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to perform machine setups and work independently from blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Tool & Die experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
