Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles safely.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing clear communication and resolving any conflicts or concerns with tact.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and delivery details for record-keeping purposes.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during vehicle recovery operations.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models, with a strong understanding of automotive repair principles.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose basic vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with manual transmissions and automotive repair tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
