Business Development: Actively prospect, cold call, and secure new regional advertising clients and ad agencies to exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough discovery meetings to understand client marketing objectives, then develop custom, multi-platform campaigns (on-air, digital, streaming, and event sponsorships).
Territory Management: Maintain and grow an existing book of regional business, building deep, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and media buyers.
Collaboration: Partner with our internal creative, production, and promotions teams to ensure client copy and campaigns are executed flawlessly.
Campaign Analytics: Monitor campaign performance, provide post-campaign recap reports to clients, and use data to justify renewals and upsells.
Market Awareness: Stay ahead of industry trends, regional competitive media landscapes, and emerging digital audio technologies.
Experience: 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in media sales (radio, television, digital, or print). Regional agency relationships are a major plus.
Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills. You should be equally comfortable pitching to a local business owner or a room full of agency executives.
Digital Savy: Solid understanding of how broadcast radio integrates with digital assets (streaming, podcasts, social media, and targeted display).
Self-Starter Mentality: High energy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously across a regional territory.
Tools: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and media analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen, Miller Kaplan) is highly desirable.
Travel: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated regional territory as required.
