Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the strategic growth of Sierra Pacific Supply's Bolt and Commercial Fastener business. This role combines new business development, key account management, supplier development, and technical sales leadership to expand market share, strengthen strategic customer and supplier relationships, and position Sierra Pacific Supply as a preferred aerospace fastener partner. The position serves as the primary commercial leader for the Sierra Bolt product line while maintaining and growing an established portfolio of commercial fastener customers.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase sales of Sierra Bolt products and commercial fasteners.
· Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with aerospace OEMs, MROs, distributors, and other strategic customers.
· Expand specification opportunities by increasing the use of Sierra Bolt products with manufacturers and engineering organizations.
· Maintain and grow an assigned portfolio of commercial fastener customers through proactive account management and relationship development.
· Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with customer purchasing, engineering, quality, and supply chain personnel.
· Lead market research activities to identify industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities.
· Develop, qualify, and maintain the network of approved manufacturing partners supporting the Sierra Bolt product line.
· Collaborate with quality, operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are successfully executed.
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements consistent with company objectives.
· Represent Sierra Pacific Supply at customer visits, supplier meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
· Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and achieve established sales and profitability objectives.
· This position is expected to regularly travel and perform work away from Sierra Pacific Supply’s place of business in support of customer development, supplier engagement, and strategic business initiatives.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
· Equivalent combination of education and directly related aerospace fastener industry experience will be considered.
· Minimum five years of business development, technical sales, account management, or related experience within aerospace, fastener manufacturing, or industrial distribution.
· Experience selling aerospace fasteners, precision machined components, or related engineered products is highly desirable.

· Demonstrated success developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.
· Strong understanding of aerospace OEM, MRO, and distribution sales channels.
· Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, and executive leadership.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, sound business judgment, and customer focus.
· Willingness to travel as required.
Technical Requirements
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· Experience using ERP and CRM systems to manage quotations, customer information, sales opportunities, and forecasts.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and aerospace standards.
· Working knowledge of aerospace fastener specifications (NAS, MS, AN, BAC, ABS, and customer-specific standards).
· Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, material certifications, traceability, and quality documentation.
· Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace documentation requirements.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the COO or Sales Manager of Sierra Pacific Supply or other designated management personnel.
Compensation
Base Salary: $85,000 annually, plus monthly sales commission. Total compensation and benefits will be determined in accordance with company policy and are commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance.
Pay: $82,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
