Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wellness Director to lead our comprehensive wellness programs within senior living communities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home operations, and healthcare management, with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life through innovative wellness initiatives. As Wellness Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans, coordinate interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for residents.
Duties
- Develop and oversee comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents’ individual needs, including physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to create and review care plans, ensuring they align with residents’ health goals and medical requirements.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document resident progress, review medical records, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with demonstrated expertise in nurse management and supervision.
- Strong background in healthcare disciplines such as home health, hospice care, or acute care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes.
- Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms.
- Familiarity with care planning processes related to Medicare regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and medical records management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively across shift schedules while maintaining high standards of resident care.
