Duties
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests.
- Engage with guests to provide personalized service, addressing special requests and guest relations concerns.
- Manage cash handling accurately during transactions and process payments via POS systems.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth restaurant operations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest inquiries confidently.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Experience in food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling is essential.
- Background in hospitality roles like host/host or bartender can be advantageous.
- Strong skills in customer service, upselling techniques, and guest relations are required.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling are necessary.
