SEL ES is seeking a skilled Primary Equipment Technician to join our commissioning and field testing team. If you enjoy hands-on work with high‑voltage equipment, solving real-world problems in the field, and being part of a mission-critical industry, this role could be an excellent fit. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of power system equipment across the electric utility and industrial landscape.
As a Technician/Specialist, your day may include:
Commissioning and testing power equipment including breakers, transformers, switches, CTs, PTs, and other system apparatus.
Operating industry-leading test equipment such as Doble, Megger, Vanguard, and Omicron systems for validation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, squat, and use hands/arms for physical tasks.

Pay Range Data
$100,000 - 160,000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. #INDD2
