Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, and surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to uphold the hotel’s high standards.
- Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing to keep all surfaces looking their best.
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens to provide guests with a comfortable stay.
- Follow proper janitorial procedures for waste disposal and chemical handling in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and guest safety.
- Adhere to hotel policies related to health, safety, and confidentiality while delivering exceptional custodial service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work or janitorial services; hotel experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, waxing and polishing surfaces.
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Experience in housekeeping management or supervising cleaning staff is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
