Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our team and streamline daily operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing store management, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a passion for retail excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and cash handling
- Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve performance targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team skills and engagement
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to build a talented workforce
- Handle purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize store profitability
- Implement effective shift management and scheduling to ensure smooth store functioning
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative records with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills to inspire teams and foster a positive work culture
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with POS systems, retail math, sales management, and marketing strategies
- Knowledge of retail operations including stock stocking, merchandising, inventory control, and cashiering
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, financial analysis, and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable
