Assumes the responsibility for providing professional care to a designated patient population.

Directs patient-care according to medical center policies/procedures and accepted standard of practice and care.

Conducts patient assessments, including history and physical.

Administers and records prescribed medications, treatments and procedures.

Assists the medical staff with examinations, treatments, special tests and procedures.

Participates in unit activities such as answering phones, EMS radio communication, environmental tasks or any other assigned duties.

Conducts shift reports.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum one year RN experience preferred.

Current MS RN license required.

Current CPR, ACLS, PALS & TNCC certifications or must obtain within one year of employment.

Able to read and write the English language.

Demonstrates proficiency of skills per checklist.

Must pass a written pharmacology exam.

Able to perform considerable standing, walking and lifting.

Maintains good physical and emotional health.
-
Demonstrates ability and cooperation in rotation of shift and/or duty areas.
-
Promotes harmonious inter- and intra-departmental relationships.
