Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches, install pipelines, and perform site preparation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps to accurately guide installation and repair projects.
- Locate underground utilities using utility locating equipment to prevent damage during excavation activities.
- Install, repair, and maintain water and sewer pipelines ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Conduct concrete finishing tasks for manholes, pipe bedding, or other infrastructure components requiring precise surface work.
- Perform welding and concrete forming as needed for pipeline connections or structural repairs.
- Use pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure accurate pipeline installation according to specifications.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to oil & gas operations, plumbing systems, and heavy equipment operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with construction site activities involving pipeline installation or repair.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of utility locating techniques to identify underground lines before excavation.
- Skilled in concrete finishing, welding, concrete forming, and pipe laser alignment techniques.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and pipeline installation processes.
- Experience working within oil & gas environments or related industries is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is preferred but not required.
