Overview
We are seeking energetic, friendly, and detail-oriented Host/Hostess team members to create memorable first impressions for our guests. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth seating operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and clear communication, providing accurate information about wait times and menu offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Coordinate with the service team to communicate guest needs and seating preferences effectively
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude
- Support food safety standards by adhering to cleanliness protocols in the host area
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to engage with guests professionally
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations and seating efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
