Overview

Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts using RF scanners and warehouse management software to ensure accuracy.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment details, and ensuring proper packaging according to safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, managing materials handling equipment, and adhering to safety protocols including OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders through accurate picking & packing, order fulfillment, and order picking procedures.
- Follow safety procedures diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE), operating heavy machinery correctly, and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in warehouse management system (WMS) updates and utilize technical proficiency with inventory management software for seamless operations.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or distribution center work is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including certification if applicable), crane operation, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices including stock rotation, cycle counting, and inventory management software like AS400 or similar systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations such as OSHA standards related to heavy lifting, manual handling, mechanical knowledge of equipment operation, and safe packaging techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing accurately.
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required; we welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds in logistics or material handling roles.
