Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' quality of life through personalized occupational therapy services. Duties
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility exercises.
- Contribute to assessments by observing patient progress and documenting responses to therapy interventions accurately.
- Support patients recovering from acute care episodes or inpatient stays by helping restore mobility and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans that address physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and adherence to medical terminology standards.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health protocols and safety procedures during all patient interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience assisting with ADLs and delivering occupational therapy services in various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health environments.
- Prior work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, geriatrics
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience working with patients requiring medical imaging or specialized assessments is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards necessary for accurate record keeping.
- Hands-on experience supporting patients in acute care or inpatient settings that involve patient transport and manual handling skills.
- Strong understanding of occupational health principles and best practices for working with individuals across the lifespan.

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
