Responsibilities
- Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks and other commercial driving equipment to deliver pizza orders efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries with care, often involving heavy lifting and moving items using tools like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Follow designated routes accurately, managing route driving to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and ensuring their orders are correct and complete.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the vehicle and delivery equipment throughout shifts.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route.
- Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management or stock replenishment when not on delivery routes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, ideally with pizza or food delivery experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Ability to perform manual tasks including heavy lifting and moving items safely.
- Familiarity with route driving, GPS navigation, and traffic regulations.
- Customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
