Pay rates starting at $30.50/hr per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week and $1.50/hr shift premium.
About the role
As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.
What you’ll do on a typical day
- Drive a tractor pulling 48 or 53-foot trailers in and around the site or on public roads. At times you may be asked to drive a 26-foot box truck
- Touch freight position using material handeling eqiupment to assist in loading and unloading at the dock
- Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
- Perform routine inspections
- Communicate effectively with dispatch
What you’ll need to succeed at GXO
At a minimum you’ll need:
- 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
- Must be at least 21 years old
- A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record
It’d be great if you also have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
