The Installation & Service Technician in Training assists installation and service technicians in the field and office. The trainee learns system installation, troubleshooting, and customer service while supporting job execution, documentation, and inventory tracking.
The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated individual with a passion for technology and a desire to build a career in system installation and service. They should be coachable, reliable, and able to work under supervision while developing technical and customer service skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Entry Level. No prior experience required.
Licenses:
- None required at entry
- Strong interest in electronics or automation; ability to follow instructions; good communication skills; team player.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills (internet, mobile devices, email software).
- Must have physical capability to lift and climb ladders.
- Must follow all safety rules and wear proper PPE.
Essential Duties
- Assist with system installations and service.
- Learn troubleshooting and documentation.
- Support inventory tracking and photo uploads.
- Follow technician and supervisor instructions.
- Travel to various customer locations across Florida and South Georgia, including overnight stays as required.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
