About The Shala
The Shala is a wellness and optimization clinic offering IV infusions, nutritional injections, peptide therapies, and integrative health services. We are seeking reliable, team-oriented Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our clinical team in a part-time committed-hours role.
Position Overview
This is a part-time position with guaranteed hours and a consistent weekly schedule. Two committed employees split the seven-day week (one works four days, the other works three), providing daily clinical and operational support for The Shala. Hours are expected to increase over time as client volume and clinic operations continue to grow.
Compensation:
- Medical Assistants: $18.00–$20.00/hr based on experience
- Licensed Practical Nurses: $24.00–$26.00/hr based on experience
Schedule
- Position A: Four (4) days per week, guaranteed minimum of 12–20 hours per week
- Position B: Three (3) days per week, guaranteed minimum of 9–15 hours per week
- Specific days determined upon hire
What You'll Do
- Administer nutritional injections (intramuscular and subcutaneous)
- Perform lab draws and specimen handling (Monday–Saturday)
- Support the provider during in-person and telehealth patient visits
- Process lab orders and relay provider instructions to patients
- Prepare and reconstitute peptides; educate patients on self-injection technique, handling, and storage
- Coordinate peptide shipments to patients and manage scheduled pickups
- Obtain provider availability each month and input schedules into the scheduling system, ensuring availability is posted on the calendar for front desk reference
- Monitor the EHR system to ensure all patients are properly enrolled
- Monitor and verify that all patients receiving prescriptions and/or peptides have an active Rx membership on file
- Upload patient lab results into the EHR system
- Maintain organized and accurate medical records
- Manage inventory and supply ordering
- Maintain treatment room readiness and clinic organization
- Support overall clinic flow and client experience
- Contribute to overall clinic cleanliness, including treatment room cleaning, workspace sanitation, and laundry as needed—every team member plays an active role in maintaining a clean, professional environment
- Sunday shifts focus on operational duties such as inventory management, supply ordering, and treatment room preparation (no lab draws on Sundays).
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active West Virginia credentials
- Reliable, consistent, and able to commit to a set weekly schedule
- Professional communication skills
- Comfortable with patient-facing education and instruction
Preferred:
- Experience in an outpatient, wellness, or integrative health setting
- Comfortable using technology in a clinical setting, including scheduling platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and digital communication tools
- Willingness to learn new software systems and adapt to evolving clinic technology
