JOB
This employee will work within SCDNR's Vessel Operations Section at the Marine Resources Division (MRD).
Job Duties Include:

Operating main engines, generators, various pumps and motors, A/C units and hydraulic systems while underway.

Performing preventative maintenance on main diesel and generator engines, generator, hydraulics, electronics, deck gear, rigging and all State-issued equipment.

Operating cranes, winches and all heavy deck gear.

Instructing scientific party in the safe operation of winches.

Requisitioning and maintaining proper spare parts and filter inventory for engineering department on board.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES A high school diploma and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience that would enable the incumbent to satisfactorily perform the job duties.
