Overview:
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Painter to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Painter will be responsible for Properly applying paint to all surfaces including canvas, metal, wood, fiberglass, walls, floors, doors and cabinets as per paint directions.

- Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
- Properly prep and prepare surfaces for painting or finishes; apply area protection if needed
- Utilize paint booth with spray equipment. Calculate amounts of required materials - gel coat restoration, metal prep and protection; mix and match all types of paint and finishes
- Remove and reinstall fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps and electric switch covers as necessary
- Properly fill cracks, holes and joints with appropriate product
- Touchups and additional coats.
- Utilize manlift and ladder for particular tasks. Erect scaffolding and install various rigging to gain access to difficult areas.
- Clean up all equipment including brushes and spray guns. Keep areas clean during work and after work
Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-2 years previous maintenance experience

Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Physical demands: ability to move equipment and furniture as needed
