The Assistant Principal serves as an instructional and operational leader who collaborates with the principal to ensure the effective management of the school and the success of all students. This position provides leadership in teaching and learning, school culture and climate, student discipline, staff supervision and development, family and community engagement, and daily school operations. The Assistant Principal promotes a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment while supporting the division's mission, strategic priorities, and continuous improvement efforts.
Working in partnership with teachers, staff, students, families, and district leadership, the Assistant Principal uses data-informed decision-making to improve academic achievement, strengthen instructional practices, foster positive relationships, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Assistant Principal also serves as a visible instructional leader, modeling professionalism, ethical leadership, equity, and a commitment to excellence in service to students and the school community.
