Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Driver / Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a field crew. Responsibilities:
- Operate hydro vac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate soil and debris
- Dig trenches, pits, and other excavation areas as required for construction projects
- Work in diverse conditions, including confined spaces and variable terrain
- Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs on hydro vac units
- Set up safe work zones, including signage, cones, and traffic control measures
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and job documentation
- Work variable shifts which may include extended hours and occasional travel
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hydro excavation, culvert cleaning, or sewer pipeline cleaning
- Valid CDL-A with Tanker Endorsement and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50–75 pounds and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with technology for job tracking and communication
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with field teams
