Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams focused on web development, application development, and system design for scalable systems.
- Drive the adoption of Agile software development methodologies to enhance productivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee system architecture decisions, ensuring the implementation of design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful API integrations for efficient system development.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Manage technical debt, code quality standards, version control processes (such as GitHub, SVN), and implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment cycles.
- Ensure systems are designed for scalability, security (including RBAC), and high availability within cloud infrastructure environments like AWS and Azure.
- Promote best practices in software engineering including programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript frameworks like React Express, and database management with SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL solutions.
- Monitor system performance metrics to optimize infrastructure performance on Linux servers or cloud platforms while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams in developing large-scale web applications or enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including cloud services (AWS, Azure), networking, security protocols, and system design principles.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript frameworks (React), and Ruby on Rails.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, scalability strategies, and designing resilient distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices including Scrum or Kanban; experience managing projects using tools like GitHub or SVN.
- Solid understanding of database systems such as MySQL or SQL Server; experience with version control systems like Git or SVN is essential.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; advanced certifications in cloud infrastructure or software architecture are a plus.

Pay: $105,959.32 - $127,606.92 per year
