Job Summary
Wrightway Auto Carriers is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Vehicle Inspector/Shuttle Driver. This position is responsible for inspecting vehicles for damage, completing required paperwork, transporting vehicles between the Port of Anchorage and local dealerships, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Duties
- Inspect new and used vehicles for damage and document findings
- Complete inspection forms and related paperwork accurately
- Shuttle vehicles between the Port of Anchorage and the Wrightway yard
- Deliver vehicles to Anchorage auto dealers as needed
- Clean and maintain yard and office areas, including sanitizing customer contact points
- Follow all safety, security, and port‑access requirements
Requirements
- Minimum age: 21
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving and court record
- Ability to pass Port of Alaska security screening
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexibility in daily tasks and workflow
- Willingness to learn — vehicle inspection training provided
Position Details
- Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Starting wage: $20.00 per hour
- 90‑day probationary period
- Eligible for wage increase, health benefits, and retirement benefits after probation
