We're looking for a passionate, creative baker to help us build an exceptional pastry program from the ground up.
Our commercial kitchen supplies El Barrista Cafe and our growing catering business. We're expanding into house-made pastries, artisan breads, croissants, laminated doughs, and seasonal baked goods. If you're someone who enjoys creating products that customers line up for every morning, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Be Making
- Butter croissants
- Chocolate croissants
- Almond croissants
- Danish pastries
- Muffins
- Scones
- Cookies
- Cinnamon rolls
- Brioche
- Sourdough and artisan breads
- Focaccia
- Sandwich breads
- Seasonal pastries and specialty desserts
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake all daily pastry and bread production
- Laminate croissant dough and produce consistent, high-quality viennoiserie
- Mix, ferment, shape, and bake artisan breads
- Develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Maintain production schedules
- Monitor ingredient quality and freshness
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Help control waste and food costs
- Keep the kitchen organized and clean
- Work closely with ownership to continually improve the menu

- Has professional bakery experience
- Understands laminated doughs and bread fermentation
- Is organized and dependable
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Takes pride in consistency and presentation
- Brings creativity and enjoys experimenting with new ideas
- Works well independently and with a team
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional bakery experience
- Experience with croissants and artisan breads
- Experience in commercial bakery production
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
