American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, post-surgical, renal, and respiratory cases
-
Patient ratios of 1:5–1:6 (may fluctuate with census)

Meditech EMR (experience preferred)

Night shift, rotating 36/48 schedule (3x12 one week, 4x12 the following week — 84 hours per two-week pay period)

Every other weekend required

Floating required within scope of practice

Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Active KY or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

Minimum 2 years of current MS/Tele experience required

Driver's license with permanent address is required

2 professional references required: 1 charge nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the last year

Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac monitoring

Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission

Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period

Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis

Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
-
Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit

First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant experience
