Kaas Industries – a precision CNC machining shop in Franklin Park, Illinois – is seeking a reliable and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our growing team.

Position Overview
This is a full-time production position responsible for operating and monitoring CNC Swiss lathes and Mori Seiki CNC machines. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Previous CNC machine operation experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Advanced CNC programming experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload material and finished parts from CNC Swiss lathes and Mori Seiki CNC machines.
Monitor machine performance and production runs to ensure quality and efficiency.
Perform basic tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine corrections as directed.
Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
Verify parts meet customer specifications, blueprints, and quality requirements.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company quality standards, safety procedures, and work instructions.
Communicate production, quality, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
Assist with additional production duties as needed.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred
Previous experience operating CNC machines, Swiss lathes, CNC lathes, or similar manufacturing equipment.
Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools.
Knowledge of machining practices and quality inspection procedures.
Manufacturing or machine shop experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour, depending on ability, setup experience, and related skills

Full-Time
Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday Overtime 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
