American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 3 years of experience and Trauma Level II background for a 13-week OR assignment working day shifts in a 16-room surgical suite.

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00–19:30
-
16-room OR suite handling a high-volume and diverse surgical caseload
-
Primary case types include craniotomy, orthopedic trauma, MVA, and total joint procedures
-
On-call requirements include 2 weeknight calls every 6 weeks and one Saturday/Sunday 12-hour weekend shift (days or nights) every month and a half

General OR work setting; hybrid OR experience is preferred

Minimum of 3 years of surgical technology experience

CST certification is required; NBSTSA credential is preferred

Trauma Level II experience required

Community hospital experience preferred

License required if applicable

Two professional references from supervisory positions within the past year are required, with at least one from a manager — references cannot be pending

Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility; proof of address required for consideration

Complete 7-year work history required, including clinical and non-clinical employment, PTO or leave, and any periods not actively working

No employment gaps greater than 30 days within required work history

Epic EMR experience is strongly preferred

Proficiency in a broad range of surgical specialties is valued, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, urology, ENT, plastics, thoracic, and trauma

Experience with robotic platforms such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System is preferred

Familiarity with drills, electrosurgical units, care of scopes and fiber optic equipment, and case cart management is expected

Knowledge of laser safety, sharps safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and Universal Protocol (time out) procedures is required

RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the assignment; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
