Responsibilities
- Engage with customers both inside the showroom and through outside sales visits to understand their remodeling and renovation needs.
- Demonstrate product features through detailed product demos, including lighting design and layout options using SketchUp or CAD software.
- Build lasting client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, offering tailored solutions, and upselling complementary products such as fixtures and lighting.
- Assist clients with layout design, interior design consultations, and technical proficiency in remodeling projects to ensure their vision is realized.
- Negotiate pricing, deal terms, and closing sales efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and transparency.
- Manage client communication throughout the sales process using CRM systems, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate record keeping.
- Support inside sales efforts by processing transactions via POS systems, handling cash or credit payments accurately, and maintaining organized stock levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales within the construction or remodeling industry; familiarity with cabinetry or fixture sales is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively close deals and upsell products.
- Technical proficiency in SketchUp, CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and lighting or interior design software.
- Knowledge of renovation processes, construction experience, or remodeling expertise to better serve clients’ needs.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases; fluency in English required.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for pricing, retail math, and estimating project costs accurately.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to building long-term client relationships.
