RETAIL TEAM LEAD
We’re seeking experienced and motivated individuals to step into a Retail Team Lead role within our Farmstead Creamery retail team. This position is ideal for someone who excels in customer service and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced, food-focused retail environment.
Team Leads play a key role in daily operations, staff support, and ensuring a consistently high-quality customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lead shifts and serve as point person during daily operations.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Train and mentor Junior Associates and Retail Associates.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and SOPs.
- Oversee product quality, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Assist with customer service escalations and problem-solving
- Coordinate workflow during busy periods (ice cream service, food prep, register flow)
- Support inventory tasks, including restocking, ordering assistance, and shrink awareness
- Assist with special orders and events
- Other tasks as assigned by management discretion
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
- Hourly wage based on experience, starting at $16.50/hr + tips

REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous retail, food service, or hospitality experience required
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs
