Shift: Dayshift hours, 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday, with mandatory Saturday as directed by business needs.
Wage: $61,088 - $71,712/annually (hourly non-exempt position, to include weekly OT)
Position Summary
The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining training programs for Jamco Products. This role ensures employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively and safely. The Training Coordinator works closely with supervisors, managers, and employees to enhance skills, improve processes, and reduce turnover through effective onboarding and training initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Training Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement structured training programs for entry-level and experienced employees, including machine operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and priorities.
- Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, videos, and hands-on practice modules.
2. Onboarding and Orientation:
- Coordinate and deliver onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into Jamco Products and understanding of company policies, safety standards, and job expectations.
- Provide specialized training for new employees on injection molding equipment, processes, and quality standards.
3. Continuous Improvement and Process Enhancement:
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop new techniques and methods to enhance employee performance and engagement.
- Work with quality and operations teams to align training with company goals, including reducing scrap and operational efficiency improvements.
4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and progress in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure training documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits or internal review.
5. Safety Training and Compliance:
- In coordination with the Safety Manager, conduct safety training and ensure all employees understand and comply with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety by regularly reviewing and reinforcing best practices.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with supervisors and HR to address employee identified performance issues through training.
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure training aligns with operational goals.
Education and Experience
Must Have:
- Experience as a Training Coordinator, Quality Inspector, Machine or Weld Specialist
- Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in word processing and presentation software
- Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers
- Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
- Exceptional organization skills, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail
- Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platforms
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data
Nice to Have:
- Five years of experience within the plant or manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing experience
