Step into a part-time opportunity serving students in parochial school settings across Monroe County. This contract role spans from February through the end of the school year, offering a fulfilling way to make a difference in students’ communication skills. With a schedule of three days per week, you’ll enjoy flexibility while providing essential Speech-Language Pathology services.
You’ll focus on delivering support and expertise as you travel between parochial schools in the area, collaborating closely with educators, families, and administrators. Candidates with CCC are preferred, though applications from Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also welcome.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid Michigan SLP licensure (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; open to strong Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Experience or clinical training within a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to multiple schools within Monroe County
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to K-12 students in parochial schools
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Manage a caseload efficiently across assigned locations
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
