Job Summary:
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, execution, and management of electrical projects from concept through completion. This role evaluates project feasibility, develops electrical designs, and oversees project execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and applicable standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure each project meets specific viability and build criteria, contract compliance, and internal performance standards.
- Perform site evaluation and inspection visits.
- Develop preliminary designs to support sales efforts.
- Participate in the engineering design process, submittals, and overseeing sub-contractor designs and submittals.
- Oversee field management of projects and direct various contractors (i.e. mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure projects are implemented meeting contract specifications, budgets and schedule.
- Provide project management for all phases of project.
- Manage all quality, financial, and safety aspects of the project.
- Develop and Provide project documentation including O&M manuals and as-built drawings.
- Knowledge on use of all electrical troubleshooting equipment.
- Create interconnection wiring drawings, conduit and wire pull schedules in AutoCAD.
- Travel and respond to emergency calls.
