Job Description:
- Monday - Friday (AM or PM Shift)
- Perform safety inspections on equipment - Semi Truck Trailers
- Prepare Documents required by FMCSA, the Company, Federal, State, or Local regulatory agencies
- Responsible for the repairs and required Preventive Maintenance (PM) of Commercial Vehicle Trailers
- Inspect, troubleshoot, & diagnose maintenance repairs
- Interpret work orders
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer specs and legislated regulations
- REQUIRED SKILLS also include Trailer Door Repairs, Suspensions, Floors, Electrical, Brakes, and Air Systems
- Prompt and regular attendance is required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience and/or completion of trade school, or combination of both
- Valid CDL required to move trailers within terminal/yard operations
- Must have your own tools (We do offer a tool allowance!)
- Be able to use hand tools & test equipment
- Know general repairs & Preventative Maintenance (PM) Criteria
- Keep up with changing technology & updates
- Mechanical abilities & precise attention to details
- Strong work ethic, dependable, problem solving skills, and able to work as a team
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs or more, if required by essential functions of the job
- High concentration level & ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to interpret and comply with information, documents, safety rules, operations/procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, etc.
Wage Range: 21.00 - 30.00 per hour
