Assistant Machine Operator: Volo, Illinois
Our customer in Volo, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Assistant Machine Operators to work full-time on day and night shifts. As an Assistant Machine Operator, you will support machine operations as part of a team to produce quality finished goods that meet customer specifications, safety standards, and performance requirements.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Machine Operator:
- Operate production machines as part of a team to meet quality and production goals.
- Follow the company Quality Policy to ensure products meet customer expectations.
- Operate equipment within established specifications and operating limits.
- Monitor raw materials, finished products, and equipment for defects or deviations.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate production records and monitor quality using control charts.
- Conduct scheduled site safety audits and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area throughout the shift.
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to a collaborative workplace.
Assistant Machine Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred; willing to cross-train.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and function as a team player.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, including every other weekend, overtime, and holidays.
- Reliable candidate interested in long-term growth opportunities.
Pay for Assistant Machine Operator: $20.50 per hour.
