Overview
YCO Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Aesthetic Practitioner — RN, NP, or PA — to join Dr. Mario Yco’s growing facial plastic surgery and aesthetics practice in Encinitas, California.
The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, a refined aesthetic eye, and hands-on experience performing non-surgical cosmetic treatments, including injectables, skin rejuvenation procedures, and laser/light-based treatments. This role is best suited for a provider who values natural-looking results, exceptional patient care, safety, education, and long-term patient relationships.
As part of Dr. Yco’s team, you will work in a collaborative, professional environment focused on customized treatment planning, high-quality outcomes, and a luxury patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform aesthetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport, as well as dermal fillers.
- Conduct thorough aesthetic consultations and develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s goals, anatomy, and clinical needs.
- Perform non-surgical aesthetic treatments, which may include PRF, PRP, microneedling, skin rejuvenation treatments, and laser/light-based procedures.
- Operate laser and light-based devices safely and effectively, following proper protocols, contraindication screening, and post-care guidelines.
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, pre-care, post-care, and recommended maintenance plans.
- Provide an elevated patient experience from consultation through follow-up, ensuring patients feel informed, cared for, and confident.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of consultations, treatments, consent forms, product usage, and patient outcomes.
- Support patient retention through thoughtful follow-up, rebooking recommendations, and long-term treatment planning.
- Collaborate with Dr. Yco and the clinical team to ensure safe, comprehensive, and high-quality aesthetic care.
- Stay current with aesthetic medicine trends, injection techniques, device-based treatments, safety standards, and continuing education.
- Maintain compliance with all California licensing, regulatory, safety, and healthcare requirements.
- Support the overall growth of the practice through professionalism, teamwork, patient education, and excellent clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted RN, NP, or PA license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aesthetics preferred.
- Hands-on injectable experience with neuromodulators and dermal fillers required.
- Experience with laser and/or light-based aesthetic devices strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, patient safety, contraindications, and aesthetic treatment planning.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
- Professional, polished, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to natural-looking, high-quality results.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development and continued training in aesthetic medicine.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a facial plastic surgery, dermatology, or medical aesthetics setting.
- Experience with skin rejuvenation treatments, microneedling, PRF/PRP, and regenerative aesthetics.
- Knowledge of medical-grade skincare and treatment plan integration.
- Comfort with before-and-after photography, patient follow-up, and long-term aesthetic planning.
- Social media experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate is comfortable appearing on camera, participating in educational and promotional videos, and creating engaging content that showcases treatments and patient results while maintaining professionalism and patient privacy.
- Interest in growing with the practice long-term.
Schedule
Part-time to full-time availability. Schedule and expected hours to be determined based on candidate availability, practice needs, and experience.
Compensation
Hourly or salary pay DOE. Productivity-based incentives may be available depending on experience and role structure.
