P&S Excavating, LLC is seeking a full-time excavation laborer to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will have pervious experience in physical labor and heavy equipment operation. A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug/alcohol test are requirements for this position. The ability and willingness to learn and understand your role is needed.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- providing assistance and support to the equipment operators/owners
- performing a variety of manual labor tasks for the company including cleaning and preparing job sites, digging ditches, operating hand and power tools, and operating small excavation equipment
- helping to maintain equipment and tools by keeping them clean and in working order and reporting any damaged or unsafe equipment to a supervisor immediately
- practicing safety at all times especially when driving company vehicles or operating equipment. Proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while on the jobsite and while operating equipment is a must
- additional responsibilities may include loading materials for customers at the shop or making product deliveries, contingent on correct licensing
Summary
Excavation Laborer supports site preparation and earthmoving activities under supervision. You will operate heavy equipment, including loaders and backhoes, and perform routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery. This role contributes to efficient construction site progress, handling material loading/unloading, and assisting with overall project tasks. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are expected for delivery or site duties. The position emphasizes practical mechanical knowledge, safe operation of equipment, and teamwork to meet project timelines and quality standards. Reports to the site supervisor.
