Lay It Out Events Green Team Member
Green Team Workers support sustainable event operations by reducing landfill waste and improving recycling and reusables efforts at festivals, concerts, community gatherings, and other live events. Team members help create clean, organized, and environmentally responsible event spaces through waste station management, material sorting, and post-event cleanup.
Responsibilities
- Set up and organize recycling, reusable and landfill waste stations throughout event grounds
- Monitor waste stations during events to help attendees properly sort materials
- Collect recyclables from vendors and transport materials to designated sorting areas
- Sort recyclable and reusable materials to maximize waste diversion from landfills
- Break down, clean, and pack event waste station equipment and supplies after events
- Assist with general event cleanup and sustainability operations
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
- Passion for environmental sustainability and waste reduction preferred
Work Environment
This role involves active, hands-on work at live events and may include evenings, weekends, and long shifts. Green Team Workers play a key role in helping events reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable community practices.
