Well known plaintiff's personal injury law firm seeks paralegal with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience. Only candidates with prior personal injury experience will be considered for this position. Candidates must be capable of the following:
- Managing plaintiff’s personal injury cases from initial client intake through trial
- Conducting basic liability investigation
- Identifying potential defendants and obtaining insurance coverage documentation
- Gathering medical bills, records, and insurance liens
- Managing client relations through pre-suit medical treatment
- Drafting demands letters
- State and federal court litigation support experience
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using PACER (federal) and COURTMAP (state) for case filing procedures
- Understanding medical terminology
- Ability to read and understand medical records
- Competency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and case management software
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude
- Paralegal certificate (preferred)
- Bi-lingual candidates (preferred)
