Job Description
We have a Human Resources Internship available in our Hunt Valley office. This individual will be a valuable part of the Human Resources team, acting as an HR Assistant supporting Employee Engagement, Benefits, Wellness, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations. The intern will report directly to the HR Director and collaborate closely with the Sr. Benefits and Payroll Administrator and Senior HR Services Partner to support key HR programs and initiatives while gaining hands-on experience across multiple functional areas of Human Resources. The successful candidate will utilize attention to detail and good judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Paid Internships provide flexible hours around your school schedule and priority selection when full-time positions become available. This is a paid position with hybrid flexibility allowing for up to 60% remote work after initial training and dependent upon business needs.
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
- Schedule and assist in the preparation and coordination of local training initiatives.
- Support the Senior HR Services Partner in facilitating employee events, engagement activities, and committee meetings.
- Assist the Sr. Benefits and Payroll Administrator with wellness initiatives and employee wellbeing programs.
- Support benefits reporting and related administrative processes.
- Assist with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) audits and data integrity reviews.
- Assist with benefits administration projects and compliance-related audits.
- Assist with recruiting administration, including candidate communications and sending rejection notices through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Support hiring managers by providing job posting links and interview guides.
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System records, including closing and archiving job requisitions.
- Support onboarding activities by entering new hires into employee recognition and compliance training platforms.
- Provide administrative support for various human resources initiatives and special projects.
Support the Human Resources Department with additional duties and projects as assigned.

What qualification should you have? The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Preference will be given to students with junior or senior standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Interest in Human Resources operations, including employee engagement, benefits administration, wellness programs, talent acquisition, HRIS, and HR reporting.
- Experience with data entry, reporting, auditing, or maintaining records is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy when managing HR records, audits, and system updates.
