Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of non-sterile medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
This includes preparation of Creams, Capsules, Ointments, Suppositories, etc.
Training will be provided
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
- Prepare and package medications for patients
- Perform medication inventory management and ordering
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers
- Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience in a hospital or pharmacy is beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Patient care and service skills
- Knowledge of acute care pharmacy operations
- Medication administration skills
