Join our dynamic construction team as a Gypsum and Concrete Laborer. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from installing gypsum underlayment to pouring and finishing concrete. Duties
- Assist with the installation of gypsum underlayment to create smooth interior surfaces.
- Prepare and set up formwork for concrete pouring, ensuring accurate placement according to blueprints and specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing concrete forms and rebar reinforcement.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete using mixers, pumps, trowels, and other equipment to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction workplace safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials like concrete bags, and other supplies while maintaining proper ergonomics.
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction projects with knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and masonry techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete cutting or demolition.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding as needed.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail in renovation or new build projects.
