Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their vacation goals, budget, and travel preferences.
- Research destinations, cruise lines, resorts, hotels, tours, and vacation packages.
- Prepare customized travel recommendations and quotes.
- Assist clients with reservations through approved supplier booking platforms.
- Build lasting relationships through exceptional customer service.
- Stay current on supplier promotions, destination information, and travel industry updates.
- Complete training and professional development provided through the agency and travel suppliers.
- Develop and grow your own client base through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using a computer and online tools.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule.
- Passion for travel is a plus but not required.
No previous travel industry experience is necessary.
Preferred Experience
Applicants with experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, education, event planning, or administrative support are encouraged to apply.
Previous travel advisor experience is welcome but not required.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
Compensation is commission-based and varies based on completed travel sales and individual business performance.
There is no hourly wage or guaranteed salary.
Many advisors begin part-time while maintaining other employment and grow their business over time.
