Centered Care of Michigan is seeking an experienced Home Care Scheduler for our growing home care division. We currently employ over 160 nurses and aides and care for about 70 patients across Mid-Michigan. Each patient receives anywhere from a few hours a week to 24-hour care, and our schedulers are the key to making sure that care stays consistent.
This is a full-time, detail-oriented position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll be joining our Lansing-based office team and working closely with our clinical staff to ensure patients receive the right caregivers at the right times.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain schedules on a 3-month basis for assigned home care patients
- Coordinate shift coverage for call-ins, time-off requests, and urgent staffing needs
- Fill short-term shifts during office hours as needed
- Participate in on-call phone rotation (1-2 week nights plus approximately every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays depending on staffing needs) — on-call pay is provided in addition to base pay
- Work closely with nursing staff to ensure proper caregiver-patient matches
- Handle light office tasks (filing, copying, errands, etc.) as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
- 1+ year of computer proficiency (required)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, positive team player who remains calm under pressure
- Home care or healthcare background
- Ability and willingness to participate in the on-call rotation (non-negotiable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative thinker who can “problem solve on the fly” with time-sensitive issues
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 9-5
- On-call rotation: ~1–2 weeknights per week, every 3rd weekend, plus rotating holidays
