Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving environments, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing, social work, or direct support is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a required
- Experience working in home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is beneficial
- A compassionate attitude towards working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, including autism
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while providing personalized support
- TB Test required
- Must have valid driver's license and willing to transport client
